Idea Generation & Definition: Driving Innovation in ICT and Back-Office Services

Year: 2023 - 2024
Role: Facilitator & Project Manager

Objective: Support a leading IT services provider for banks in generating and refining innovative ideas to improve internal processes, fostering cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.

Approach:

  • Internal Process Analysis: Facilitated six idea generation workshops across multiple Italian cities, engaging volunteers from each branch to identify key challenges such as capability building and internal communication. Initial solutions were proposed, including concepts like communities of practice (CoP).

  • Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Formed four cross-functional teams with distinct focuses, such as CoP or AI-driven process improvements. Led a three-month program where teams analyzed the current state (as-is) of internal processes and conducted competitor analysis to assess how similar solutions were applied in other companies, adapting them to fit the company’s unique needs (to-be).

  • Idea Refinement and Development: Guided teams in refining their concepts into actionable solutions, including detailed process analysis, and the development of comprehensive pitch presentations for the company’s committee.

Outcome: Delivered well-defined, innovative concepts ready for implementation, positioning the client to drive meaningful improvements in internal operations and enhance overall efficiency.
